How to Create AI Real Estate Videos for Instagram and TikTok

VABy Victoria Alvarez7 min read

You have a property's photos and want to showcase the home on Instagram or TikTok. You can reuse that shoot to create a vertical video with movement, narration, and subtitles, without returning to the property to film.

This tutorial explains how to create AI real estate videos for Instagram and TikTok, following Inmoedit's demonstration. We will cover choosing effects for each scene, turning the listing description into a script, and adapting landscape photos to a vertical format.

Give each image a purpose: open with an appealing selling point, show the spaces that support it, and close with an invitation to view the listing or book a viewing.

Video tutorial: from photos to a vertical video

The Inmoedit tutorial on YouTube shows the whole process, from creating the project to exporting the video. You can follow along as you prepare your first version.

1. Create the project and select the photos

In Inmoedit, create a project for the property and upload the photos. Then open the video section, click the create button, and choose the quick option to generate a video from photos.

Select the images you want to use and continue. In the next step, you can arrange the scenes and assign an effect to each photo.

Before choosing the order, write a sentence that sums up the property's main appeal. For example, “An apartment with a terrace connected to the living room.” This gives you a way to decide which image should open the video and which ones explain that benefit.

For a first attempt, choose a short, varied selection: an opening image, the living area, the kitchen, a bedroom, and a distinctive space. If you need to prepare the shoot from scratch, see the guide to creating a real estate video from photos.

2. Choose a visual hook and effects for each scene

In the demonstration, the first scene uses a lightning effect. The following scenes combine zooms, a downward camera movement, a watercolor transformation, furniture appearing, and a bathroom renovation.

You can use this variety to explore what the editor offers. For an actual property, choose effects according to what you want to communicate:

EffectWhat it can add to the videoWhen to use it
Zoom or camera movementDraws attention to a space or detailTo show a room, terrace, or pool
Lightning or watercolorCreates an expressive visual openingFor a creative video with a clearly recognizable transformation
Furniture appearingIllustrates a furnishing proposalWhen you want to show the potential of an empty space
RenovationPresents a possible refurbishmentWhen the current condition needs context and a visual proposal

For the furniture-appearance effect, use an image of the room already furnished: the effect creates a transition in which the furniture gradually appears. If you start with an empty room, prepare a virtually staged version first.

The property itself can also be the hook: a spacious terrace, an open kitchen, or a distinctive view. The effect should help viewers understand that selling point.

When you show added furniture or a virtual renovation, include a label such as “Virtual staging” or “Renovation proposal.” Keep the images of the current condition so buyers can compare. You can explore this approach further in the guide to identifying AI-edited real estate images.

3. Turn the listing description into a script

After setting up the scenes, you can add a voice-over. Copy the property description, paste it into the text field, and use the AI adaptation option to turn it into a script that fits the video.

Read the result before generating the narration. A description written for a property portal usually contains more information than fits comfortably into a short video. Keep the selling points that the images help explain, and check floor area, bedroom count, price, and any other details included.

As an editorial example, you could use the following for a home with a terrace:

This apartment connects the living room to a terrace where you can enjoy the outdoors. It has a separate kitchen and two bedrooms. Want to see the layout and all the details? Contact us for the property information and to book a viewing.

Always adapt the text to the property's actual features. If a scene shows a renovation proposal, the narration should also present it as a possibility.

4. Add the voice-over and enable subtitles

Listen to the available voices and choose one that suits your language and tone. In the video, the creator uses a cloned version of his own voice; you can also work with voices from the library.

Enable subtitles so viewers can follow the message with the sound off. The AI narration tool lets you add a voice-over and synchronized subtitles to the video.

Before exporting, check three things:

  • Pronunciation: neighborhood names, street names, and real estate terms.
  • Readability: sentences that are easy to follow without pausing, with enough contrast against the background.
  • Consistency: the voice-over and subtitles should explain the scene currently on screen.

Use the same subtitle style across your agency's videos to keep the presentation consistent.

5. Select the vertical 9:16 format

The demonstration starts with landscape photos. In the video settings, 9:16 is selected, and the tool uses AI to adapt the images to a vertical format.

This step makes it easier to reuse listing photos in a video for Reels or TikTok. Review every scene: doors, windows, terrace boundaries, and proportions should still represent the property accurately. Pay particular attention to any areas reconstructed during the adaptation.

Also check where subtitles and text appear. Leave space around important information and check the preview on the platform before publishing so its controls do not cover your message.

6. Review, adjust, and export the video

Once the video is generated, open it and play the full sequence. In the editor, you can change the scene order, trim, adjust speed, add transitions, and edit text, voice-over, or subtitles.

Review it once with sound and once without. If the video only makes sense with the narration, improve the text overlays. If the voice-over finishes after the image has already moved to another room, adjust the pacing or shorten the script.

Before exporting, confirm that:

  • The first scene shows the property's main appeal.
  • The effects remain visually consistent and do not distort property features.
  • Decoration and renovation proposals are labeled.
  • The details match the property information.
  • The ending suggests a specific action, such as requesting information or booking a viewing.

When it is ready, export the file and upload it to your chosen channel.

Example of a real estate Reel with five scenes

This sequence is an editorial suggestion for a home with a terrace. Adapt it to the material and narration you have.

SceneImage and movementMessage
OpeningTerrace with a gentle zoom“Your next apartment, with room to enjoy the outdoors”
Living areaLiving room and its connection to the outside“Living room with access to the terrace”
LayoutKitchen or bedroom with gentle camera movementOne confirmed detail about the room
PotentialFurnished version of an empty room, with furniture appearing“Virtual staging proposal”
EndingMain view and contact information“Request the property details and book a viewing”

For another property, change the main selling point: the garden, location, layout, or a completed renovation. This decision gives each video its own message, even when you reuse your agency's style.

You can start with Inmoedit's real estate video editor: select a property's photos, set up the scenes, and prepare a first vertical version with voice-over and subtitles.
