How to Clone Your Voice with AI for Real Estate Videos

VABy Victoria Alvarez8 min read

You want to present properties in your own voice, but recording a voiceover for every listing means finding a quiet place, repeating takes, and starting again whenever the script changes. Cloning your voice with AI for real estate videos lets you prepare an initial sample and then generate new narrations from text.

With Inmoedit, you can create a custom voice, select it for a video, and turn a property description into narration. This helps keep your communication recognizable as you prepare content for different properties.

What is a cloned voice, and when should you use it?

A cloned voice is an AI-generated voice based on a reference recording. When you write a new script, the tool uses that voice to produce the audio. The result can retain features of the way you speak, although you should listen to it and check pronunciation and naturalness.

In a real estate workflow, it can help you:

  • Narrate videos for different properties with a consistent voice identity.
  • Change a sentence in a listing without recording the entire voiceover again.
  • Prepare versions of a video that focus on different property features.
  • Add an explanation to a recorded walkthrough or a video created from photos.

The initial sample creates the voice. After that, each property needs its own script: the narration should describe the home on screen, using its actual details and features.

Before you start: prepare a clean sample

Voice cloning is available with a paid Inmoedit plan. To create a voice, you need a recording of at least one minute; the interface recommends two minutes as a guide for preparing a more complete sample.

You can upload a file or record directly in the platform. If you upload one, use a supported format such as MP3, WAV, or M4A, and make sure the file is no larger than 10 MB.

Before recording:

  • Choose a quiet room with no background music or conversations.
  • Keep a consistent distance from the microphone so the volume stays steady.
  • Speak as you would when presenting a property to a client, with natural pauses and intonation.
  • Record only your voice, without other people speaking at the same time.

Use your own voice. If another person in the agency handles the process, use their voice only with their permission.

1. Open Voices and create a custom voice

Sign in to Inmoedit and open Voices. You will find the default voices and any voices you have created for your account. Click Create to open the Clone voice form.

Enter the Voice name and select the sample's Language. A name such as “Laura · English” is easier to identify than “Test,” especially if several people prepare videos for the agency.

The language should match the recording you plan to use. This will help you recognize which voice suits each project's narration later.

2. Record the suggested text or upload audio

The form offers two options: Upload audio and Record audio. The tutorial uses direct recording and recommends reading the text provided by the platform, which gives you a sample with varied intonation.

If you choose to record, allow microphone access when your browser requests it, press the recording button, and read the text at a comfortable pace. Avoid rushing to finish: the sample should reflect how you want to sound in your videos and meet the minimum duration.

If you already have a suitable recording, you can upload it. Choose a clean sample with only one person speaking; a voiceover mixed with music or a recording of a viewing with background noise is a less suitable starting point.

3. Listen to the sample and save your voice

Play the audio before creating the voice. Check that the words are clear, the volume does not change abruptly, and there are no interruptions or distracting noises. If you recorded directly and the sample is not good enough, record it again.

When you are satisfied, click Create. Once created, the voice will appear among your custom voices, and you can select it in your account's video projects.

You do not need to repeat the sample for every property. Reuse the voice and focus your review on what changes: the text, pace, and relationship between the narration and the images.

4. Select your voice when creating or editing a video

You can use your custom voice when creating a video from photos or editing a project, including one you have uploaded. Open Add voice or the Voice panel, depending on your workflow, and select the voice using the name you saved.

If you have not assembled your material yet, see the guide to creating a real estate video from photos. You can add the voice after preparing the scenes.

Write the script in the text field, or paste the property description and use Adapt to fit it to the video length with AI. Review the result before generating: confirm the details and remove sentences that add no information to the scenes.

A simple narration structure is:

  1. Opening: introduce the property's main selling point.
  2. Walkthrough: explain two or three features shown in the images.
  3. Closing: invite viewers to request the full property details or arrange a viewing.

When the text is ready and you have selected your voice, generate the narration. The Inmoedit voiceover tool lets you work on the script and voice within the video workflow.

Example script for a property with a terrace

This editorial example is intended for a property with a living room connected to a terrace, a separate kitchen, and two bedrooms. Use it only if those features match the property:

Looking for an apartment with outdoor space? This home has a living room with direct access to the terrace, a separate kitchen, and two bedrooms. The images show the living area and bedrooms. Get in touch for the full property details and to arrange a viewing.

Match each part to a scene:

Part of the scriptImage that helps explain it
Outdoor spaceView of the terrace
Living room with direct accessAn angle showing the connection to the terrace
Kitchen and bedroomsImages of those rooms, in the same order
Invitation to get in touchClosing image with the agency's contact details

The voice adds context when it supports what viewers can see. If a scene shows a virtual furnishing or renovation proposal, the text should also present it as a possibility.

5. Review the narration before exporting

Play the complete video and check how your cloned voice sounds within the edit. A good sample does not guarantee that every script will be pronounced equally well.

Pay particular attention to:

  • Proper names: neighborhoods, streets, developments, and the agency's name.
  • Numbers: price, floor area, and number of bedrooms, if you include them.
  • Pace: sentences should finish without feeling rushed and accompany the appropriate room.
  • Music: keep it in the background so the narration remains clear.

If a sentence sounds awkward, simplify the text and generate a new version. Adapting the script helps fit the voiceover to the available time, but you still need to listen to the result.

You can add captions from the video options. Review them separately: creating a custom voice and generating captions are different steps. Also check the edit without sound so the message remains clear when viewers cannot listen.

Frequently asked questions about cloning your voice for real estate videos

How much audio do I need to clone my voice?

Inmoedit requires a sample of at least one minute and recommends two minutes. Prioritize a clear recording with natural pauses and no background noise.

Do I need to record every new script?

Once you have created the voice, you can generate new narrations from text. Review each audio before publishing, especially if it includes place names or numbers.

Can I use my voice in a video I have already recorded?

Yes. You can open the video in the editor and select your custom voice when adding narration. You can also use it in videos created from photographs.

Will the cloned voice sound exactly like me?

The result depends on the sample and the text being generated. It can reproduce features of your voice, but you should listen to every narration and adjust any sentences that sound unnatural.

To get started, prepare a clean sample, create your voice, and test it with a short property script. Then you can edit the real estate video in Inmoedit, review the narration alongside the images, and export the version you plan to publish.
